"Nutrition is an important component of the care of dogs and cats with cancer, and dietary supplement use is common in this patient population," researchers in the United States report.
"Antioxidants are thought to be among the most commonly used supplements. While antioxidants have potential benefits for cancer patients, they also may have detrimental effects," wrote L.M. Freeman and colleagues, Tufts University.
