The Associated General Contractors of California (AGC), the state's oldest and largest trade association of general contractors, recently recognized Santa Clara-based Blach Construction Co. as possessing one of the best safety programs in California.
In a packed awards luncheon at the Monterey Bay Plaza, Doug Hirsch of SeaBright Insurance Company handed Michael Blach, president & CEO, and James Decker, CSP, director of health and safety, the Safety Award of Excellence, 2nd place, in the Building Contractor/200,001 to 500,000 Worker Hours category. Panattoni Construction of Sacramento won the first place award in the same category.
