THE SOUR CANDY sector continues to be one of the strongest players in the broad non-chocolate category and some brands are even experiencing double-digit growth, according to suppliers.

Andy Telatnik, director of marketing for Impact Confections, Inc., makers of the Warheads brand, says sour candy is more popular than ever. "Major manufacturers have launched sour products and that has brought more consumers to the party," he says, adding: "We have seen sales continue to grow by double digits and we expect that to continue."
