Egypt's ARTOC Group aims to extend its reach in emerging markets with airport construction projects in the Balkans and joint ventures with Latin American firms in Egypt, the firm's chairman told Reuters. ARTOC, a privately owned firm, has a wide portfolio of investments including communication and information technology, infrastructure, petroleum, air transport, cars and real estate.
In 2008, ARTOC revenues were in excess of a $1 billion. Last year ARTOC's main markets for business were Egypt, Czech, Ukraine and Turkey.
