Article: European Society of Hematology Micromet Gets Boost on Good Blinatumomab Data.(briefs)

Micromet Inc.'s antibody blinatumomab continued to produce good news, with the company reporting that data from a Phase III study of the antibody showed a high response rate in acute lymphoblastic leukemia patients with minimal residual disease (MRD).

The goal of that study was to achieve MRD within four cycles of treatment, and the study hit the mark even before it was completed.

The news obviously had Wall Street talking. With shares trading at 30 times the average column, Micromet shot up more than 20 percent early, finally settling for a 7 percent gain on the day.
