After sounding concerned on Tuesday that Michael Cuddyer could land on the disabled list, Twins manager Ron Gardenhire was more optimistic that the outfielder wouldn't miss too many more days with a strained right index finger.
Cuddyer didn't throw or swing a bat on Wednesday, but the swelling in the finger had gone done considerably. Once the swelling is gone, Cuddyer will resume baseball-related activities.
"They tell me that once it starts (getting better) it's going to happen pretty quick," Gardenhire said. "Once he gets all the mobility back he should be OK."
