Inflation since the start of the year in Russia comes to 6.8%, said Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin on Tuesday at a meeting of EurAsEC in Moscow.
He added that this figure came to 7.7% in the same period of 2008.
"People are again taking money to banks. In April, total deposits increased by 1.6%. Deposits in rubles largely accounted for the increase. Interest in Forex savings has sharply decreased," Putin said.
