CLEVELAND, Jan. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Advanced Lighting Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: ADLT) announced that it has signed an agreement to acquire Deposition Sciences, Inc. (DSI) of Santa Rosa, California. Started in 1985, DSI is the leader in the development of sophisticated thin film deposition systems (equipment) and coatings for lighting applications, with particular emphasis on coatings for metal halide lighting systems. DSI has developed many new technologies for coating lamps and lamp parts since its inception. It is expected that DSI will report sales for calendar year 1997 exceeding $14 million.
