STAMFORD, Conn., Jan. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- A $5.5 million renovation of the Holiday Inn Select-Stamford at 700 Main Street began this week that will substantially upgrade almost every area of the hotel, including the lobby, public space, and 15,000 square feet of meeting and banquet rooms. The exterior of the building will receive extensive remodeling that will include the construction of a new porte cochere. The business center, indoor pool and exercise room will also receive improvements. The renovation is scheduled to be completed by May 1998.
