TROY, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 21, 1998--MapInfo Corporation (NASDAQ:MAPS) today announced financial results for the three months ended December 31, 1997. Revenues for the first quarter of fiscal 1998 increased thirty percent -- to $13,145,000 -- from revenues of $10,095,000 reported one year ago. Net income for the first quarter was $304,000, or $0.05 per share, compared to a net loss of $894,000, or ($0.15) per share, in the same period a year ago. The fiscal 1998 results include one month's operations from The Data Consultancy acquisition.
