It was a beautifully balmy Tuesday afternoon and LaFayette goalie Chris Klaiber spent the first four minutes of his team's Class C state regional lacrosse game enjoying the superb summer day.
Nobody from Salmon River, the Section X team LaFayette faced in the regional, wandered within 40 yards of him. Klaiber's most difficult task during that period was determining which teammate, in a blur of motion, scored his team's latest goal.
The Shamrocks attempted their first shot with eight minutes left in the quarter. By then LaFayette had built a 6-0 lead.
