Young Basile Hanlon MacFarlane & Helmholdt P.C., a Troy-based patent law firm, has created a small, rent-free technology incubator on site and has landed its first tenant.
Andrew Basile Jr. said there is room for four or five technology startups in the 1,200 square feet at the firm, with the possibility of expanding as needed.
The firm also has an office run by Basile in Palo Alto, Calif., in Silicon Valley. But the space here will be for Michigan companies.
