A Warren manufacturer of lacrosse equipment is calling a proverbial bad stick check on the law firm of Dickinson Wright P.L.L.C. and two of its intellectual property lawyers.

Warrior Sports Inc. seeks damages of $33 million against the firm and member-shareholders John A. Artz and John S. Artz in a lawsuit filed last week at U.S. District Court in Detroit. At issue is Warrior's "scooped lacrosse head patent that the Artzes, father and son, allegedly allowed to lapse before the erstwhile Artz & Artz P.C. merged with Dickinson Wright in 2007.
