LyondellBasell Industries AF SCA (Booth W20a), the world's largest polyofeins maker, is headed to NPE2009 with advancements and improvements in polypropylene and specialty resins.
The firm, based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, recently received what it said is the industry's first-ever ISO PP 125 approval for PP use in water pipe. The certification means the material can resist internal water pressure at 68[degrees] F for 50 years.
Elsewhere in pipe, several converters including Georg Fischer AG of Schaffhausen, Switzerland plan to develop standards for the use of LyondellBasell's Akoafloor-brand polybutylene ...
