The U.S. farm tire market is a glass that's half full or half empty, depending on who's talking.
Following a record-setting year in 2008, farm net cash income is expected to fall 17 percent this year to about $77.3 billion, according to recently released U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) data. Despite the drop, the estimate remains above the 10-year average.
Year-to-date figures supplied by the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) show sales of low-powered tractorsthose with less than 100 horsepowerdecreased more than 20 percent and those of high-powered two-wheel-drive tractors are down 6 percent. On the ...
