More Than Half Goes to Support Human Services Organizations That Help Vulnerable Populations

BELLEVUE, Wash. -- The Puget Sound Energy Foundation today announced that it will distribute $119,000 to local charitable organizations throughout Washington as part of its first of two funding rounds in 2009. Ranging from $1,000 to $20,000, the grants are awarded based on a competitive review process to qualifying 501(c) (3) charitable organizations in 14 counties in Puget Sound Energy's service and operations area.
