TAX defaulters, including a company once owned by the late crooner Joe Dolan, have paid over E205million to the Revenue in the first quarter of this year, new figures show.
An entertainment company formerly owned by singer Joe Dolan and his brother, Ben, made the biggest published settlement in the three-month period, of just under E3.9million.
Other defaulters listed by the Revenue include a Cork merchant prince, a successful Co. Meath racehorse trainer and a retired television producer, alongside numerous farmers, company directors, publicans and building contractors.
