Oakhurst Dairy finds packing bottles on base pads and shrink wrapping them costs less and is more efficient
When Oakhurst Dairy, Portland, Maine, introduced fluid products in single-serve pint plastic bottles, it wanted the most cost-effective packaging available.
"We had always packed our products in plastic milk cases, but these bottles were going to go to a whole new group of customers that wanted products packed in disposable shippers," says V.P. Marketing Bill Bennett.
