A FOUNDER of the North Wales Cricket League has denounced as "appalling" the Facebook scandal involving a number of Llandudno players, writes Mike McEvoy.

Haynes Formstone, long-serving secretary of North Wales county champions Denbighshire, founded the league with fellow Wrexham man, the late Frank Gibson, 37 years ago.

He has called on clubs and players to wipe out misconduct after Llandudno captain Steve Smith was banned for life and five other players reprimanded over alleged remarks on the club's Facebook account.
