TOKYO, June 12 Asia Pulse - Mitsui High-tec Inc. (TSE:6966) said Thursday that it sustained a February-April group net loss of 1.7 billion yen (US$17.4 million) due to sluggish demand from automakers and consumer electronics manufacturers.
The producer of precision metal molds for integrated circuits and parts reported a 200 million yen net profit in the same quarter a year earlier.
Sales plunged 60 per cent to 5.7 billion yen as its mainstay lead frames and other products experienced slumps in sales. Hit by the weak semiconductor market, sales in the lead frame business dropped 63 per cent to 3.4 billion yen, while the motor core ...
