Siemens Israel is negotiating to replace engineering company Baran in the tender to build the biggest desalination facility in Israel, at Soreq, TheMarker has learned.
Baran owns a third of the shares in the consortium contending in the tender. Its partners in the group are Granite Hacarmel, which belongs to the David Azrieli group, and Shapir Engineering. Advertisement
Siemens Israel, the local arm of the German conglomerate, has already locked in an agreement as a subcontractor for the desalination project. But it wants an equity position as well.
