In about two weeks, the dreaded orange cones will become a regular fixture on Maple Avenue, as the state/city safety project gets underway.Work was expected to begin late last month, but was delayed due to concerns with how the project could impact traffic, said Kate Stickle, public information officer for Ohio Department of Transportation District 5.
The project would have started May 29, right in the midst of the Gus Macker tournament which brings thousands of players and spectators into the area with a noticeable increase in traffic.
We thought we would begin the project two weeks ago when we first sent out a release about it ...
