Dubai: The number of joint ventures between local and Saudi contractors may increase as they act as stepping stones into a difficult market.

Arabtec recently announced a joint venture with the Bin Laden Group subsidiary, Construction Products Holding Company, and Prime International Group with a capital base of 150 million Saudi riyals (Dh146.88 million).

Arabtec Saudi Arabia, is going to build a two-billion-riyal mixed-use Lamar Towers project in Jeddah to be ready in 2012.

The Lamar Towers will be located on Jeddah's seafront corniche and consist of two towers, one of which will be 68 floors ...
