ABU DHABI/ASTANA, 12 June (WAM) - The UAE and Kazakhstan today signed an agreement to boost cooperation in areas such as oil, gas, real estate development, banking services.
The agreement provides for opening a branch for Al Hilal Bank in Kazakhstan. The UAE's bank will be the first Islamic bank to open branches in the two major Kazakh cities of Astana and Alma-Ata. The Kazakh government will provide all facilities for the bank to launch its new branches and operations.
According to the agreement, also Abu Dhabi's Al-Dar Properties will construct Abu Dhabi Plaza in the economic zone of Astana. The major mixed-use development is planned to meet the needs ...
