When it comes to guarding your health and safety, Dr. Francis Watson doesn't mind sounding like an over-protective momma. He's got a medicine bag full of common-sense advice. Trouble is, the sense out there isn't all that common.
Watson knows. He's president of Chesapeake Emergency Physicians, and we talked the other day at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center. The topic? How families love to hit the highways since vacation season is just a motel reservation away.
First bit of common-sense advice: Wear seat belts. Watson remembers the 1970s, pre-seat belt and pre-airbag.
