CRESWELL - West Albany may have defied conventional wisdom Monday.
Veteran observers of tournament golf like to say they can't be won on the first day, only lost. The rest of the field at the OSAA Class 5A boys championship would like to see that axiom proven again this week, but West Albany may have put the event out of reach in the first round.
