KOREA'S LG DISPLAY TO ENHANCE SOLAR-CELL BUSINESS
SEOUL - South Korea's LG Display Co. (KSE:034220), the world's second-largest flat-panel maker, said Tuesday that it will step up efforts to develop its solar-cell business in order to secure a new revenue source.
The company said it will invest 50 billion won (US$40 million) in building a production line for thin-film solar cells by the end of the year in Paju, north of Seoul.
