CARLSBAD, Calif., Jan. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- On Monday, January 12, 1998, Callaway Golf Company (NYSE: ELY) issued a press release announcing that its new Big Bertha(R) X-12(TM) Irons had been developed and would be immediately available for sale worldwide.
Today the company announced that it has received orders for more than one hundred thousand sets of these new irons. More than 35 percent of these sales are in markets outside the United States.
Of these orders to date, Callaway Golf has now delivered in excess of 30,000 sets including early shipments to foreign markets.
