As Arizona's Justin Upton stumbled to a 1-for-17 start this season, speculation grew that the Diamondbacks would send the 21-year-old rightfielder back to the minors for more seasoning.
Upton, a graduate of Great Bridge High School in Chesapeake, heard the talk, and it upset him.
