BALANGA City, Bataan, June 12 (PNA) -- This component city of Bataan celebrated today the country's 111th year of Independence with pomp starting with a long parade as early as 6:30 a.m.
City officials and employees led by Mayor Jose Enrique Garcia III, the youth, senior citizens, a few World II veterans and spouses, members of non-governmental organizations, barangay officials, the 303rd Infantry Brigade of the Philippine Army and the police joined the parade,
The marchers made the round of the commercial district passing through the majestic St. Joseph Cathedral fronting the city plaza which is undergoing renovation.
