GPA poised for grants talks as O'Mahony hits out
SPORTS Minster Martin Cullen has come under increasing pressure to clarify the status of the inter-county grants scheme yesterday after rowing back from comments made in the Dail on Tuesday that strongly suggested that the scheme had been scrapped.
At an announcement of Irish Sports Council funding for the GAA, IRFU and FAI, Mr Cullen insisted that the scheme was not dead and that he had sought a meeting with the GPA to discuss their status.
