MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 2, 1998--TimesTen Performance Software (TimesTen) today announced that Hewlett-Packard Company (HP) has taken a 15 percent equity position in TimesTen in exchange for the intellectual property rights to HP's main-memory data management technology.
The exchange, which took place one year ago upon the incorporation of TimesTen, is being announced today in conjunction with the launch of TimesTen and its first product, the TimesTen(TM) Main-Memory Data Manager.
In 1993, HP Labs embarked upon a project to validate the performance potential of a decade of academic research into main-memory data management. ...
