Article: NYBC backs spending plan.(New York Building Congress Inc.)

New York Building Congress has offered qualified support for the city's revised 10-Year Capital Plan, which it said is significantly improved from the initial plan presented by Mayor Bloomberg in January.

That plan had called for a 30 percent reduction in overall capital spending. The new plan will include overall infrastructure spending at about $10 billion for the next two fiscal years.

But the Congress says it's still worried about anticipated capital spending declines starting in 2012 and continuing through 2019.
