OLDWICK, N.J. -- A.M. Best Co. has upgraded the financial strength rating (FSR) to A+ (Superior) from A- (Excellent) and the issuer credit rating (ICR) to "aa-" from "a-" of AXA Versicherungen AG (Switzerland) and AXA Leben AG (Switzerland).
Subsequently, A.M. Best has withdrawn the ratings at the company's request and assigned a category NR-4 to the FSR and an "nr" to the ICR.
