According to news.gov.hk: The Legislative Council Finance Committee has approved about $1 billion in funding for the Government to procure human swine flu vaccines, andpneumococcal and seasonal flu vaccines. After the committee met today, Secretary for Food & Health Dr York Chow thanked lawmakers for their support, adding the Government will sign a contract with qualified vaccine producers shortly to secure an ample supply before winter. Up to 2.30pm today, the Department of Health had confirmed 16 new cases - nineimported, andseven in local secondary students, bringing thetally to 237.
