State-owned Kuwait Petroleum Corp (KPC) is to keep boosting its trans-national system. Its overseas E&P arm, Kuwait Foreign Petroleum Exploration Co. (KUFPEC), is to raise its net share of oil and gas output from 55,000 b/d of crude oil equivalent (down from 62,000 b/doe in 2007) to 200,000 b/doe by 2020. For the medium term it is aiming to raise its oil and gas reserves from 240m barrels oe in to 420m barrels oe by end-2010 and to 680m barrels oe by 2020. Established in 1981, KUFPEC has E&P ventures and interests in many countries, including Australia, China, Egypt, India, Sudan, Tunisia, Yemen and others.
