Will Lose Its Indian Name
If the Quapaw Golf Links Course isn't British enough for you, hold on to your crumpets: A castle is on the way.
On Jan. 12, the new owners of the course plan to announce the construction of a $1.5 million, two-story clubhouse designed to resemble, yes, a castle. The course, along with the future 964-lot residential development being built around it, also will be renamed, and hints from the managing partner suggest the name will be in keeping with the course's Old English theme.
Three holes are being moved, both to improve the course design and to allow more homes to be built along the course. Also, the course is being restored ...
