Apex court to hear pleas against PVC firm Chemplast in July
New Delhi, June 21 (PTI) -- The Supreme Court will hear in July a couple of petitions seeking the closure of Chennai-based Chemplast Sanmar Ltd's Rs 600-crore poly vinyl chloride project, which allegedly has violated environmental norms.
The apex court, while refusing to restrain the company from going ahead with the project, had earlier issued notice to it, the Ministry of Environment and Forests, the Tamil Nadu government and others.
