State Bank of Indore staff stir against bank's merger with SBI
Bhopal, June 22 (PTI) -- Over 6,000 staffers of State Bank of Indore across the country, today struck work to protest moves underway to merger the bank with the State Bank of India (SBI).
"The strike evoked total response," All India State Bank of Indore Employees' Co-ordination Committee General Secretary J P Jhawar told PTI.
He said the State Bank of Indore's transcit business of Rs 50,000 crore daily was hit by the strike.
