Keebler Co.'s former pres and CEO Tom Garvin has contributed to the foodservice industry by introducing dessert products in quick-served restaurants such as the Burger King. Garvin initially acquired eight firms manufacturing appetizing and delectable desserts, which formed the Edwards Baking Co. Garvin's plan showed profitable results with the company's total 1997 annual sales amounting to $200 million. Further development and expansion plans are still being considered by the company.
