PITTSBURGH -- Michael Baker Jr., Inc., an engineering unit of Michael Baker Corporation (NYSE Amex:BKR), announced today that it has been awarded a bridge engineering services contract by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, District 11-0, for the SR 579 Veterans/Crosstown Boulevard Bridge Preservation Project in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The scope of the project includes the rehabilitation and/or preservation of twelve existing bridge structures including the main spans of the Veterans Bridge over the Allegheny River.
