Air Corps may act on Cullen chopper door fall
DISCIPLINARY action may be taken by the military authorities after an official report blaming human error for an incident in which a door blew off an Air Corps helicopter carrying Tourism Minister Martin Cullen.
A spokesman said last night that the authorities were currently studying the findings of the investigation team and a decision would then be taken on whether disciplinary proceedings should be held.
The investigation team found that the left-hand sliding door, which fell to the ground during flight, had not been correctly closed and secured prior to take- off.
