Sentula Mining was seeking the return of R242 million and had been granted sequestration orders against former financial director Jason Holland for alleged misappropriation of funds, chief executive Robin Berry said yesterday.
Orders have been granted against other individuals, firms and trusts. The matter is not affecting Sentula's operations. Deon Louw, Sentula's chief financial officer, said all the sequestration actions were unopposed. Holland resigned as finance manager of Sentula subsidiary Scharrighuisen Opencast Mining on June 20 last year.
