Mice in the granary? Rats in the corn? Just call the ermine infantry!
Best known for their lovely white fur that was once used as fancy trim on clothing, these ferocious carnivores prefer to be favored for their keen senses and appetite for bothersome grain-eating critters. Some farmers do find them beneficial to have around, because they eat mice that, left alone, would eat into grain harvest profits. On the other hand, ermines like to eat chickens, too, so some farmers say, "Ermines? No thank you."
