CLINTON - Welcome to Red Sox Nation, Clinton style.
The Red Sox defeated the Orioles 9-6 at Savage Field on Tuesday night to win the Clinton Little League championship.
Just like their 2004 counterparts in Boston, the Little League Red Sox got hot in the playoffs, real hot. After a 5-10 regular season record, the fourth-seeded Red Sox put it all together when it counted most, sweeping four playoff games to win the town championship.
The third-seeded Orioles finished with a 2-2 playoff mark.
