SPRINGBOK flanker Schalk Burger escaped with a minimum eight-week ban last night for his 'disgusting' attack on Lions wing Luke Fitzgerald. A disciplinary tribunal which began at midday yesterday ended after midnight with Burger being found guilty of 'making contact in the eye area' of the 21-year-old Irishman during the opening 30 seconds of Saturday's brutal second Test match, which the Boks won 28-25 thanks to Morne Steyn's last-second penalty.
