There were plenty of moments of uncertainty for the Lakers in Game 2 of their opening-round playoff series against the Utah Jazz.

There seemed to be little doubt that the Lakers would overcome their foibles and the Jazz and take a two-games-to-none lead, however.

The Lakers maintained their stranglehold on the series with a 119-109 victory over the Jazz in front of a sellout crowd of 18,997 on Tuesday night at Staples Center.

Playing from a position of strength, the Lakers used their superior size and depth to stay in front of the Jazz from almost the opening tip.
