Dhaka, June 29 (UNB) - Chittagong Port Authority (CPA) has asked the reconditioned car importers to clear their imported cars from the port sheds within the next seven days, as car congestion is hampering its normal operations.
Officials said normal operation of the port, a lifeline for the country's economy, is being hampered seriously as huge imported cars remained undelivered at the port sheds.
The CPA has taken several steps over the last few months to ensure timely clearance of imported cars from its sheds but those appeared to be ineffective.
