Sad farewell to man of 'great integrity'
THE heartbroken parents of a GAA star killed in a tragic road accident stood shoulder to shoulder with hundreds of other mourners at his funeral mass yesterday.
Local priest Fr James Hammel said Ciaran Shannon's influence went beyond pure popularity.
"He was a man who people looked up to, a man who meant what he said, a man of great integrity," he said.
