Serang, June 1 (ANTARA): A total of 1,444 people in Banten province were infected with HIV/AIDS, and the rest of the society had been called on to take early preventive measures, so that this virtually fatal disease would not affect others. "Fifty four of the 1,444 sufferers had succumbed to the disease," Chairman of the Banten Aids Prevention Commission (KPA) Arif Mulyawan said Wednesday.
